MEMORIAL GARDEN:
Aberfan
Complete renovation of the Aberfan disaster memorial garden.
Architectural Stone were commissioned by the Aberfan Memorial Trust to entirely renovate all stonework at the Aberfan Memorial Garden.
“The Aberfan Memorial Garden stands on the site of the former Pantglas Junior School and commemorates the 116 children and 28 adults who died in the Aberfan Disaster of 21 October 1966.
The Garden is of huge importance to the bereaved parents, sibling next of kin, survivors and the whole community, as well as the thousands of visitors who come to pay their respects every year from around the world.
EXCEPTIONAL STONE RENOVATION
It is the Trustees’ aim always to maintain the Garden to the highest possible standards.
When we were planning the major renovations there, it was vital that Trustees had confidence of achieving an outcome of the highest quality, on time and on budget.
Trustees are highly delighted with the transformation now achieved at the Memorial Garden, and to universal acclaim from the local community and beyond.
