The installation of our new Breton Smart Cut S/NC 1000 saw has been completed at the Architectural Stone workshop in Cardiff.

From technology manufacturing experts Breton, this innovative saw is managed using a colour display console with touch-screen capabilities and joysticks for precision movement. This numerical control cutting centre features 5 interpolated axes, a pick-up unit with suction cups, a rotating head and a fixed work bench. The pick-up unit allows the machine to lift out certain pieces for cut optimisation and to move pieces into specific places.

The design has been specially engineered to cut natural stone such as limestone, sandstone, marble and granite. It uses high-speed and high-precision movements along axes X,Y and Z thanks to brushless digital motors, providing an accurate cutting path. All electric and electrical parts are sourced from leading producers, ensuring high quality.

The recent arrival of the saw blade now finalises the fitting of our new machinery, allowing work to begin immediately. This will now further enhance our capabilities to successfully complete projects of any scale in a timely manner.
